Family and Friends. Enjoy what this time of year really represents; showing everyone just how much you care about them.
Gratitude. Be grateful for the opportunity to share in such experiences.
Food. Dinners are the staple of any holiday for my family: new recipes, turkey variations, and great desserts add to the festivities.
Time. The one thing money can not buy is time. Spend time with family, friends, and strangers alike.
Traditions. Don’t have any? Start new customs. Have the standard sing-a-long, add a live game show (like Family Feud), or have a cook off; winners get bragging rights until next year.
Capture the Memories. Take pictures, break out the video camera, have the children write essays about their winter vacation.
Laughter. Enjoy every second of your life. Petty squabbles are not allowed this year.
Gift Giving. Cut down on the money spent by pulling names out of a hat and buy for only one
person.
Imperfection. Who cares if the turkey is burnt? You can always order pizza.
Space. Make sure everyone has a place to rest their heads.
